Frequently asked questions
Still have a question? Call us at 843-681-3777.
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Both work. You're always welcome to walk in for urgent care. To spend less time waiting, you can reserve your spot online before you arrive.
Should I come to urgent care or go to the ER?
Urgent care is right for non-life-threatening illness and injury — colds, flu, minor cuts, sprains, infections, and physicals. For chest pain, trouble breathing, severe bleeding, or stroke symptoms, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
What insurance do you accept?
We accept most major plans. See our Insurance page for the full list, or call us to confirm your specific plan.
Are you a walk-in clinic or a primary care office?
Both. Main Street Medical offers walk-in urgent care AND ongoing primary/family care, so you can be seen today and also establish a long-term medical home with us.
Do you do DOT and employment physicals?
Yes. We have DOT-certified examiners on staff and offer employment physicals, drug screens, and TB/PPD testing. Most DOT visits are completed the same day.
Do you have X-ray and lab on-site?
Yes — we have on-site X-ray, a lab, and IV hydration, so most visits are handled start to finish without sending you elsewhere.
How do I access my records?
Through the patient portal. You can view results, messages, and more — see the New Patients page for the portal link.
Do you treat children?
Yes, we provide both adult and pediatric care.
